Recent Progress at Caledonia Financial Group

I wanted to share a quick update on what we’ve been up to at Caledonia Financial Group. It’s an exciting time for us as we continue to build towards our vision of a truly customer-focused, technology-driven bank. Here’s what we’ve been working on:

Regulatory Process: We’re making steady progress in our journey to secure the necessary regulatory approvals from the relevant authorities. This is a key priority for us, and we’re aligning every aspect of our framework to meet the standards required.

Community Engagement: One of the most important aspects of our mission is creating a bank that genuinely reflects the people it serves. We’ve recently launched a public engagement platform where individuals can share their thoughts on what frustrates them about banking today. The feedback so far has been incredibly insightful, and it’s helping us shape Caledonia into a financial institution built around its future customers.

Technology & Development: We are planning the establishment of our development centre, which will play a key role in our future growth. We’re making strong progress in developing quantum-grade security and integrating advanced AI solutions that will make banking faster, safer, and more intuitive for everyone. We have had a little setback in the selection of a core banking system; many vendors promised a lot but when we lifted the hood, many of the promised features were not present. We are running a little behind schedule on this aspect, but we have a plan to catch up in the next six to eight weeks. This foundational work will ensure that, when we launch, our services are secure, adaptive, and truly next-generation.

Team & Talent: We are expanding our core team, bringing on exceptional talent in AI and fintech operations to accelerate product development and strengthen our technical expertise. We are incredibly proud of our growing team and the expertise they bring to the table.
